Usage Data: We collect anonymous gameplay
statistics to improve the experience and monitor performance.

Hashed IP Addresses: To prevent abuse and maintain
fairness, we store a hashed version of your IP address. This data is
not personally identifiable and is used strictly for
gameplay-related analytics.

Optional Sign-In Information: If you choose to sign
in with your email address, we collect your email address and the
username you choose. Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email
— we never store a password.

Public Profile Information: When you sign in and
play, your username and game statistics (scores, completion times,
days played, etc.) become publicly visible to other players on
leaderboards and may be displayed throughout the game.

Hashed Email for Advertising: If you sign in and
consent, we may share a hashed version of your email address with
our an advertising partner in the future to show you more relevant
advertisements. The hashed email cannot be used to identify you
directly.
2. How We Use Your Data

To monitor usage, track fairness, and improve gameplay quality.

To store and retrieve your gameplay stats across devices (if signed
in).

To send you transactional emails related to your account or activity
(e.g., reset password, high scores).

To display your username on public leaderboards when you're signed
in and play. Note that your username and score history will be
visible to other users.

To contribute to aggregated statistics such as global leaderboards
or gameplay trends.

To provide more relevant advertising by sharing hashed email
addresses with our advertising partner (only with your consent).
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services such as PostHog and Google Analytics
(analytics) and Venatus (advertising). These services may collect data
in accordance with their own privacy policies. Account sign-in is
handled by our own servers and does not rely on a third-party identity
provider.

PostHog: Our analytics service that tracks
anonymous usage data to help us improve the game. PostHog currently
uses an in-memory system to track unique anonymous users between
sessions without storing cookies. When you sign in, we associate
your usage data with your user account.

Google Analytics: Measures aggregate traffic and
usage (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type)
so we can see how the site is being used. It sets cookies to
recognise returning visitors, and does not receive your email
address or account details.
4. Data Retention
We retain usage data and account data as long as necessary for
legitimate business purposes. You may request deletion of your data at
any time by contacting us.
